Lake Park residents injured in Vick's Corner crash
A two-vehicle crash at Vick's Corner Monday afternoon injured three people, two from Lake Park. According to the Sheriff's Office, a 2000 Dodge Durango driven by Janet Pearson, age 51 from Sibley, lost control due to icy roads and collided with a 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by 67 year-old Ardis Collins from Lake Park. The Caravan driven by Collins was stopped at a stop sign and was rear-ended by the Durango.
Damage to the Durango was estimated at $5,000 and $3,000 damage was reported to the Caravan.
Both Pearson and Collins, as well as a passenger in the Collins vehicle, Leon Collins, were all transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.
The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by the Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and the Spirit Lake First Responders.
