Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn rallied late against Harris-Lake Park on Tuesday, scoring runs in the final two innings to force extras before plating two in the eighth for a 5-4 non-conference victory.
The Wolves scored in the top half of the eighth to take a 4-3 advantage, however, Brett Flynn tripled in the tying run and eventually scored the walkoff win on a wild pitch. The senior scored three times and also pitched the first seven innings with nine strikeouts in a no-decision. Ryan Flynn got the W throwing in the eighth. H-LP received a three-hit night from Connor Gunderson, scoring once and driving in a run. The Wolves used three pitchers throughout the game and fall to 7-5 this summer. They host Estherville-Lincoln Central on Thursday, a game that will air live on Q102.
