SLP wrestlers take third at conference meet

It was a three-team race at the Lakes Conference wrestling meet in Spencer on Friday with the hometown Tigers narrowly nipping rival Emmetsburg for the meet title. Spencer tallied 198.5 points, while the E-Hawks were right behind with 196.5. Seventh-ranked Spirit Lake Park finished third at 171.5, Estherville-Lincoln Central ended up fourth with 149.5, followed by Western Christian (115), Storm Lake (106.5), and LeMars and Cherokee tied for seventh at 101.
