The Northwest Iowa Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is looking for a partner family in Dickinson county for a build to be held this year. They're hoping to select the family yet later this month, as groundbreaking can't take place until that's done.

Following a traffic study by the Dickinson County Engineer's Office, the City of Lake Park and the Lake Park Police Department, new signs have been installed and a new speed limit is now in effect in the area of the Middle/High School building in Lake Park.

Mark Jacobson, Inc., the Case-IH dealership in Luverne for 54 years, is undergoing a name change — and a familiar one at that.
Jaycox Implement signed the final papers Jan. 5 to take ownership of Mark Jacobson, Inc., 410 Koehn Ave., just off U.S. 75 in Luverne. It represents the third location of Jaycox Implement — the first was established in Lake Park, Iowa, in 1956, by Raymond Jaycox, and the second opened in Worthington 20 years ago, according to President Chad Jaycox.

A new Coordinator has been selected for the Silver Lake Watershed project. Catherine Sereg was recently named to the position. She has relocated to the area from Des Moines. Sereg is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in environmental science.
