Residential garbage pickup from October 1 through April 30 will be on Fridays. Residential garbage pickup from May 1 through September 30 will be on Tuesdays and Fridays. Commercial pickup is Tuesday and Friday year round.
The following will not be accepted in the garbage:
- Yard waste
- Garden waste
- Infectious or bio hazardous waste (syringes, needles or anything contaminated with blood)
- Paint
- Solvents
- Pesticides or their containers
- Herbicides or their containers
- Batteries
- Tires
- Oil
- Oil Filters
- Remodeling or construction materials will not be accepted as garbage. These items may be taken to the landfill with personal vehicles and you will be charged accordingly at the landfill.
Rates
The residential flat-rate for garbage pickup in Lake Park is $8.00 per month.
Garbage Bags
Residents of Lake Park are required to use the orange garbage bags available at City Hall. Prices are as follows: $3.50 for 15-gallon bags or $5.00 for 33-gallon bags. Bags come in quantities of 10. The bags are available at the following places:
- Utility Office from 7:00am to 8:00am Monday through Friday
- City Clerk's Office from 8:00am to 12:00noon and 12:30pm to 4:30pm Monday through Friday
- Public Library from 9:00am to 12:00noon on Saturdays.

Tags
Residents of Lake Park must purchase tags in order to have the following items collected:
- Appliances $25.00 each
- Stoves, dishwashers, water heaters, washers, dryers, microwaves, freezers, refrigerators and dehumidifiers.
- Air Conditioners $25.00 each
- Electronics $11.00 each
- TVs, VCRs, AM/FM receivers and stereos, computers, monitors, printers, copy machines and fax machines
- Mattresses & Box Springs $11.00 each
- Tires (without rims only)
- Car tires $3.00 each
- Truck tires $7.00 each
- Tractor tires $18.00 each
No items will be picked up unless an orange tag is attached. Tags may be purchased at the City Clerk's office. The new tag system is in effect all year and charges may change accordingly as landfill fees change.
